About Bike & Boot
What is Bike & Boot?
Bike & Boot has two locations: one perched on the cliffs in Scarborough and the other in the heart of the Peak District, Hope Valley. We’re for people who love the outdoors – hiking, cycling, surfing, or dog walking. But many guests just come to chill out. Bareca (our bar-restaurant-cafe), Wadobi for walkers, dogs, and bikes, a free film club, and lots of guest freebies are all on offer. Think of us as a base camp for adventure, with a comfy bed and cake at teatime.
Where are your hotels?
Scarborough: 1–6 Cliff Bridge Terrace, Scarborough, YO11 2HA, with views across the bay.
Peak District: Hope Road, Hope Valley, S33 0AL, surrounded by the Peak District National Park (opened September 2023).
What does Wadobi mean?
Wadobi is our dedicated facility for Walkers, Dogs & Bikes, offering boot washing, lockers, dog grooming and treats, bike storage and tools, and maps for local routes.
What’s the Retreat?
The Retreat is our communal lounge: switch off, get free cake at teatime, free hot drinks all day, and games for families.

Booking & Check-in
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 3pm. Check-out is 11am. Early check-in/late check-out is £15 each – just ask when booking.
How do I book?

Deposit/payment terms vary by rate and are confirmed at reservation.
Cancellation Policy

Check-in Security
£25 pre-authorisation is taken on your card at check-in. This is not a charge, and it clears automatically soon after your stay.

Room Features
Ensuite power shower, Smart TV (with Chromecast), espresso machine, kettle, hairdryer, safe, mini fridge, ponchos, and Bike & Boot toiletries in every room. Free WiFi and bottled water. All rooms have irons and mini bar fridge (you can use it for your own items).
Room Types
Peak District: 60 rooms (Small Double, Medium with super king/twin, Large with super king/day bed, 3 accessible rooms, 4 adjoining rooms).
Scarborough: 65 rooms, eight types (Boot Rooms, Small Double, Medium, Loft Mini Suites, Room Two, Large Sea View with sofa beds).
Accessibility
Peak District is fully accessible – lift, accessible rooms/bathrooms, parking, staff assistance, and more. Scarborough is less accessible – contact us for more info.
Safes & Storage
Each room has a safe. We also offer luggage storage before check-in or after check-out.
Travel Cots
Available for £15. Not suitable for Boot Rooms/Small Doubles in Scarborough.
Fridge & Minibar
Minibar items consumed are charged at checkout.
Air Conditioning
No bedroom air conditioning; rooms have good ventilation and fans.
Laundry
No laundry service; irons are provided.
TVs
Smart TVs with Chromecast in all rooms.
Dogs
Are dogs welcome?
Yes. Dogs are welcome everywhere in both hotels, including in Bareca and Film Club. You’ll find Wadobi facilities and a warm welcome. £15 per dog, per night (max 2 dogs per room).
Dog Facilities
Free grooming room, dog treats, boot washing area, and all rooms are dog-friendly. Every dog gets a laundered Vet bed and a toy to take home. Wadobi is self-service: you wash and groom your own dog free of charge (shampoo/towel/dryer provided).
Dining with dogs
Dogs are welcome in Bareca and Film Club. We serve Content dog food and treats too. Guide dogs stay free. Other pets? All domesticated, well-controlled creatures welcome (£15/night).

Dedicated outdoor area at Peak District; nearby park in Scarborough.
Parking & Getting There
Parking
Peak District: Free private parking, motorbike and vintage car parking (covered).
Scarborough: Permits available at £5/day – park outside to unload, collect your permit, then follow directions. Each permit per car, valid until 1:30pm next day.
Accessible Parking
7 accessible parking bays at Peak District; limited at Scarborough – contact us to discuss options.

Bareca
Our in-house bar, restaurant and café at both hotels. Expect bistro classics, grills, seafood, pizza, sharing plates, cocktails and a relaxed vibe. No need to book (except for groups of 8+). Non-guests welcome.
Opening Hours
Peak District: Bar Sun–Thurs 11am–10:30pm, Fri–Sat 11am–11pm. Main menu Sun–Thurs 12pm–8:30pm, Fri–Sat 12pm–9pm.
Scarborough: Bar Mon–Thurs 3pm–10:30pm, Fri 3pm–11pm, Sat 12pm–11pm, Sun 12pm–10:30pm. Main menu Mon–Thurs 5pm–8:30pm, Fri 5pm–9pm, Sat 12pm–9pm, Sun 12pm–8:30pm. Breakfast Mon–Fri 7am–9:30am, Sat–Sun 7:30am–10am.
Food Options & Offers
Click & Collect: order pizza, burgers and sides online for takeaway. No Sunday roasts, but plenty of grills and burgers. Buffet breakfast available (rate dependent): pancakes, eggs, porridge, hot drinks, pastries, meats & cheese, cereal and fruit.
Surprises: Prosecco (£35) or IPA selection (£28–£35) ready in your room on arrival.
Group Catering: Menus for group bookings, fixed-price, antipasti sharers, or pre-set menus available (deposit applies). Non-guests may dine, and Peak District guests can use the car park.
Cycling, Walking & The Great Outdoors
Cycling
Free secure bike storage/maintenance facilities at both Wadobi locations. Bike hire available. Peak District partners with Hope Valley Bike Hire (on site): adult bikes (£22/day), e-bikes (£30/day), kids’ bikes, mountain bikes, and dog trailers (book online). Maps and cycling recommendations available; see our blog for route guides. Free secure motorbike parking at Peak District.
Walking & Wild Swimming
Walk straight from hotel: seaside trails (Scarborough), famous hikes (Peak District: Stanage Edge, Win Hill, Lantern Pike). Daymer Walks is our route series, available on our blog. Film Club
Free in-house cinema for guests (includes pizza, burgers & drinks from Bareca). Exclusive for overnight guests—one of our favourite guest perks.

Is there really free cake?
Yes! Every day in the Retreat lounge at teatime (first-come-first-served).

Sustainability
Peak District hotel uses heat pumps, water-saving fixtures, comprehensive recycling, and sources locally. We’re working toward zero waste and reducing single-use plastic. Annual audits and conservation efforts are ongoing.
