DOG WALKS AROUND SCARBOROUGH
Raincliffe Woods
Just a couple of miles outside of the town centre is Raincliffe woods, where you can take your pickof three different trails to follow with your dog: Rowntree, Graham & Wallis. We’re loving the names.
Dalby Forrest Drive
a little further afield from Scarborough, with your dog in tow, to Dalby Forest, which has 13 walking trails for you and your dog to explore. Some are lots easier than others, making them perfect for pooches with little legs.
Forge Valley Woods
For a shorter walk, Forge Valley Woods is a two-mile route which should be suitable for any hound. You’ll hear the scuttling of paws across the boardwalk, which leads you through the wild garlic to the River Derwent.

VIEW STRAVABEACHES & BAYS FOR YOUR DOG TO STRAY
You can find some of the best dog walks in Scarborough on our beaches. Although there are dog restrictions on Scarbados’ North & South Bay beaches during the summer months (usually May ‘til the end of September), doggys can still get soggy in some sign-posted sections. If you visit out of season, your hounds can have free roam.
Shh, don’t tell anyone! But just a few miles south of Scarborough is a well-hidden gem – Cayton Bay. Surrounded by colossal cliffs, this quiet, dog-friendly beach allows pooches to prance along its shores all year long.

SNACKS & KIBBLE
The Bareca
There are loads of dog-friendly cafés & restaurants in Scarborough for your dog to take a sniff at. But, we don’t mean to blow our own trumpet (we absolutely do!) but the Bareca is a dog-friendly eatery that you can visit without even leaving the hotel. You can even enjoy a pint with your pooch, as we serve doggy beer.
The Bellyrub
Another joint that welcomes dogs with open arms is The Bellyrub, which has a quirky street food inspired menu for humans to drool over. With a name like that, who wouldn’t want to pay a visit?
Salt Water Cafe Bar
With a beachfront location & stunning views of Scarborough’s North Bay, your hound will be sure to drag you into the aptly named Salt Water Café Bar. Take a break from the sandy shore to grab a brew & a bowl of water.
VETS & PET SHOPS
The Wadobi facilities in our hotel are filled with dog wash stations, grooming products, dryers, towels & dog toys. But, if your hound should need anything more, Scarborough has plenty of options.
If you’re looking to stock up on big bags of dog food, treats & the odd tennis ball – Scarborough has you covered! Pop into the Falsgrave Pet Shop or Four Oaks Pet Supplies for all your doggy needs.
We know that dogs can get into all kinds of mischief. But, if they step into trouble, the vets of Scarborough are here to help. Alma Veterinary Surgery, Cundall & Duffy Veterinary Surgeons & Swanzdale Veterinary Care Centre are all available for emergencies.
